Embodied Mindfulness: A grounding practice for turbulent times.
Life in the 21st century is stressful. It’s easy to feel anxious, stressed, and overwhelmed. The Embodied Mindfulness course can help!
In this 4 week, in-person course, we will come together to practice meditation, explore the power of the breath and learn that being in our bodies can restore our natural sense of wholeness and vitality. This isn’t just about feeling calmer in the moment—it’s about developing a sustainable practice that helps you navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and resilience.
This program is for you if:
• You are anxious, overwhelmed or stressed.
• You feel disconnected from your body or trapped in your head
• You’re seeking practical tools to regulate your nervous system
• You want to be part of a supportive community, not alone with your worries
What you’ll experience:
In this age of increasing isolation and fragmentation, we will gather in person, to remember we are not alone with our challenges.
Each session weaves together sitting meditation, breathwork, and embodiment practices. You will learn to control those racing thoughts, calm your nervous system, and tap into your body’s wisdom. Embodied mindfulness goes beyond traditional meditation by emphasizing the profound connection between mind and body. When we integrate body awareness, meditation and breath, we access a powerful method for managing stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges.
Practical details:
• Please bring a yoga mat and a water bottle to this scent free gathering
• All experience levels welcome—no previous meditation experience needed
• Each session includes guided practice and time for sharing
Embodied mindfulness offers you practical skills to manage stress, but also the support of others who understand what it means to struggle with anxiety in our modern world.
Your body already knows how to find peace. Let’s remember together.
The course is facilitated by Ocean Lum (BSc, MA, RCC) — a Registered Clinical Counsellor, yoga therapist and long-time mindfulness teacher who integrates somatic practices, psychology and yogic principles in her work.
